An Introduction
The homeowner was not happy with the way his backyard looked. He contacted a third-party consultant who brought us in to help with developing their vision and installing the project. Since he wanted to entertain many of his friends and colleagues, he needed a large enough patio to seat everyone. He wanted an outdoor kitchen with natural stone work to add a touch of elegance.Issues

Outdoor Kitchen and Bar
For a similar effect to having a large kitchen island indoors, we created a bar area where the homeowner could cook and entertain his guests at the same time. To add shade and a room-like feel, we added a pergola over the kitchen area. Using some carpentry “slight-of-hand”, the pergola posts appear to be recessed into the house, adding to the elegance of this space. [before-after offset=”0.7″]

Large Patio Seating Area with Fire Feature
We replaced the original patio with a much larger one, complete with a gas-powered fire table with a remote-controlled starter, and fire glass for that touch of prestige. [before-after offset=”0.7″]

Improved Backyard Ambiance
Completion of the backyard makeover included the addition of a bubbling urn to bring the sounds of rippling water to this oasis. The stone wall was added and landscaping plants were refreshed. All of this is highlighted at night by the soft glow of the low-voltage L.E.D. lighting. [before-after offset=”0.7″]
